Port Renfrew Marina Report. July 20/18

At Port Renfrew Marina Chinook fishing remains strong along the beach. Early mornings and the late evenings at East Point have been very good. Reports of large schools of bait from Owen Point as far as Walbran is probably holding the fish from moving on. Bigger springs are showing up in the last few days, just in time for the 4th annual Kinsmen Salmon Derby!

Offshore is pretty much the same as last report. Great salmon fishing on the ebb and halibut as the tide slows. Still quite a few Black Cod around, on the small side but what a delicacy!
